Lisa Fennessy’s Clean and Organic Beauty Picks
Clean beauty refers to beauty products created using sustainably sourced and organic ingredients. These products are designed to be safe and gentle to the environment, as well as the consumers. Moreover, they are usually packaged in reusable or biodegradable containers, making them a sustainable alternative.
Beauty blogger Lisa Fennessy (@thisorganicgirl) switched to organic products and clean beauty after a couple of personal experiences. Through these experiences, she realized that modern healthcare focuses on alleviating symptoms rather than addressing the root cause of a disease. She decided to take matters into her own hands by choosing clean and safe products that won’t aggravate her health.
Lisa has put her degree in journalism to great use by writing about her favorite clean beauty brands and products on her blog. She tests out various organic beauty products herself and offers excellent recommendations to her readers.

Here are some of Lisa’s clean beauty favorites that she has been loving lately!
1. Fragrance
Lisa prefers fragrances that are a blend of natural and safe synthetic ingredients. She gravitates towards safe synthetic fragrances that are free of phthalates and known carcinogens. She also prefers cruelty-free and vegan brands that offer clean scents.
2. Anti-Inflammatory Face Cream
Lisa loves an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant cream that is rich and hydrating. Her favorite cream is from a brand that is 99% organic and 100% plant-based. She loves that the formula offers intense moisture and is fragranced using hand-picked jasmines.
3. Brightening Serum
Underneath her face cream, Lisa likes to use a hydrating serum. Her pick is a gel-based viscous serum that contains a powerful plant-based antioxidant called Chebula. According to Lisa, this serum hydrates the skin and adds a beautiful glow to her face. Plus, it has anti-aging benefits too!
4. Face Oil
Lisa recommends products that contain ingredients derived from biodynamic farming. She says that biodynamic farming ensures nutrient-rich soil, which promises ingredients packed full of skin-enriching vitamins and minerals! Her favorite face oil is made using biodynamic farming and contains plant oils high in antioxidants.
5. Cleansing Balm
Lisa’s favorite cleansing balm contains chia seed, argan oil, carrot seed, and baobab. She says that the balm has a honey-like consistency and washes off easily with water. She likes to use it to remove makeup, as well as a cleanser on no-makeup days.
