Beauty Blogger Jessica Morse Shares Her 5-Minute Makeup Routine
Have you ever wondered how some people’s makeup looks effortlessly natural? Glowing skin with a hint of color is the key to this “my face but better” makeup style. The cherry on top is the fact that this type of makeup takes only 5 minutes. So, how do you master this art of simple and minimal makeup? Beauty blogger of the week, Jessica Morse (@barebeautyblog), is here to break it down for you!
Jessica is a beauty blogger and non-toxic nail salon owner who is passionate about green and clean beauty. After suffering a personal loss in 2011, she deep dove into the world of clean ingredients. In 2012, she started her blog Bare Beauty, where she talks about clean beauty products. Everything about Jessica’s beauty philosophy is minimal, including her makeup routine. Here is how she puts on her 5-minute face every morning!
Jessica’s Quick And Easy Makeup Look
1. Tinted Sunscreen
Jessica starts her morning routine with a tinted sunscreen that has SPF 20. It offers sheer coverage and is the perfect base for minimal makeup. She uses her sunscreen on top of face oil for an added glow.
2. Concealer
When going for a minimal makeup look, concealer will be your best bet. You can spot conceal your blemishes or dark circles without having a cakey base all over your face. Jessica likes a high coverage creamy concealer to hide her dark circles while moisturizing the skin.
3. Sheer Foundation
Sheer foundation is a great way to blur your imperfections while your skin still peeks through. Jessica loves sheer foundation because it does not look like a mask on her face. She uses a sponge to apply her foundation for a natural finish and sets it with a hint of powder.
4. Blush, Bronzer, and Highlighter
Jessica uses a bronzer to sculpt her face and tops it up with a blush. She then uses a rose-gold or peachy highlighter on the high points of her face. This step adds some color and dimension to the skin which the foundation may take away.
5. Eye Makeup
Jessica keeps her eye makeup simple with a swipe of golden cream eyeshadow. She then adds mascara to her lashes and sets her eyebrows with brow wax. This easy eye makeup takes less than a minute but looks incredibly flattering.
