Jason Arland – The Do’s and Don’ts for Your Skin

There’s so much more than just cleansing your face every night when it comes to taking care of your skin. If you want to avoid dryness and wrinkles, then you should check your overall lifestyle. There may be things you do during the day that affect your skin.
Beauty blogger Jason Arland (@jason_arland) shares his secrets to flawless skin. Working with a lot of make-up as an influencer, make-up artist, performer, model, and actor, Jason has mastered the art of taking care of his skin.
Raised in Nagpur, India, Jason started his cosmetics journey when he competed in Latin and ballroom dance competitions years ago. Currently, he’s a model and the manager of artistry for a make-up brand. Jason also stands by the idea that make-up is a form of self-expression and has little to do with gender or sexual orientation.
Jason’s Do’s and Don’ts for Your Skin
1. DO drink plenty of water
Water can treat a lot of your skin problems. Drinking a lot of water can keep your skin and your system hydrated.
2. DO keep your surroundings clean
Everything that your skin or face touches should be clean. These items may be your pillowcase, bedsheets, brushes, handkerchiefs, and clothes.
3. DO exfoliate
People have varying opinions when it comes to exfoliation. Some people benefit from exfoliation, while others don’t find it very helpful. Nevertheless, exfoliation is still very important. When you wear a lot of make-up or use a ton of skincare, exfoliation can take out dead skin cells from your skin.
Additionally, exfoliation helps with collagen production. With this, your skin can create more new tissues and new skin layers.
4. DON’T touch your face
This tip is very important for people who have acne-prone skin, irritated skin, and sensitive skin. If your hands are not clean, touching your face can spread bacteria and further damage your skin condition.
5. DON’T forget SPF
One of the most important parts of your skincare routine is sunscreen. Do not leave your house without putting on some SPF. UV rays are very harmful to your skin. They make your skin age much faster than it’s supposed to. With this, sunscreen can help shield your skin from sun damage.
6. DON’T over-exfoliate
After exfoliation, your skin may feel so soft. You may like the feeling of your skin post-exfoliation, but over-exfoliating can tear the collagen layer and the thin layers of your skin. With this, over-exfoliation may cause wrinkles, so don’t overdo it.
