Cardi B Asked Skincare Advice from Her Twitter Fans

Cardi B is the kind of artist that never fails to keep it real. Her honesty extended to her Twitter account when she asked her followers for skincare advice last Monday, January 25.

The “WAP” rapper tweeted, “I been breaking out lately and my face is extremely dry. I don’t think these products are working. I think it’s the water out here …. What are some good products for little blackheads breakouts and dry skin on your face?”

She explained that she had already seen a dermatologist. However, the products that she got have left her face feeling dry and burning.

Cardi B revealed that she was prescribed retinol but has suffered through common side effects. She explained, “I went to a dermatologist like 2 weeks ago, and he gave me that, and my face was so dry, and it burns.”

She also shared a close-up photo of her cheek to give her fans a better look at her skin. “It’s been happening for like 3 months now,” Cardi said.

She isn’t the only one struggling with winter dryness and skin problems due to daily mask-wearing, which is why her followers came to the rescue. Currently, her tweet has 2.5k replies, most of them being skincare tips about breakouts and dryness.

One fan suggested giving one specific product a try. Cardi replied, “I don’t feel like it cleans my face right.” The drugstore line may not work for Cardi’s skin, but the star shared that her mom approves of it.

She’s also tried using another skincare brand, but it didn’t seem to work for her either. “It worked a lil bit, but still sometimes my face gets really dry, and I’m breaking out. I don’t know if it’s cause of age or the water out here,” the Los Angeles-based rapper shared. Oils also did not work in her skin’s favor as it only left her skin feeling itchy.

Another fan proposed that Cardi should try an affordable skincare line. This seemed to excite the artist as she replied with, “Imma buy today.”

Finally, fellow singer Kehlani recommended that Cardi see her aesthetician, Sean Garrette, and consult her skin problems with him. This is a tip that Cardi did not ignore as later on, she tweeted, “Ok @Kehlani recommended me somebody for my face …Imma give ya a update in 2 weeks …..I’m off this for a while …LOVE YA.”

Most skincare experts advise that you should give your skin more than two weeks to see if there are positive or no results to your changes. With this, Cardi’s fans would have to wait for an update if Kehlani’s or their suggestions were effective in bettering Cardi’s skin journey.
